- Attack on the World Cup lead
The fight for the FIA World Cup for Cross Country Rallies title enters the next round: Next week the Hungarian Baja - event number seven out of ten in the 2015 FIA World Cup season - will take place. After the bad luck at the Baja Aragon Nasser Al-Attiyah (QAT) and Mathieu Baumel (FRA) again will be fighting for championship points. The two Dakar winners are currently in second place in the World Cup standings.
The Hungarian Baja sets off on Friday the 14th of August with a 2,5 kilometer prologue. The result of the prologue will be the starting order for the next day, while the times already will be added to the overall times of the drivers. On Saturday the competitors will head into two special stages of 172 kilometers each, before on Sunday another 172 kilometer long stage awaits them.
