Stéphane Peterhansel no Geneva Motor Show

Following his second Dakar win with the MINI ALL4 Racing and his 11th triumph in the prestigious event altogether, Stéphane Peterhansel made a two-week holiday trip to Kenya. But now, the Frenchman is back in Europe and yesterday, he attended the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland.
MINI John Cooper Work Countryman special edition: tribute to the winner In Geneva, 11-time Dakar winner Stéphane Peterhansel also presented the MINI John Cooper Works Countryman ALL4 Dakar Winner 2013 – a special edition limited to 11 vehicles!

The all-wheel driven car is powered by a 160kW/218bhp turbo charged 4-cylinder engine. Inspired by the striking colour of the victorious MINI ALL4 Racing, this special edition with its matt-black body colour comes with special, shining green design features for the exterior and interior. Features such as the sports stripes on the bonnet with the Dakar Rally winner logo and the signature of Peterhansel. In addition to the green stripes on the car’s sides, with the writing ‘MINI ALL4 Racing’, driver and passenger door are decorated with the No 302 and the names of the victorious pairing. This special edition will be available solely in France.

Vehicle fleet back home in Trebur

Two weeks ago, all the X-raid Team vehicles completed the long haul from South America and made it back home to Trebur. On the day after the end of the Dakar Rally, the team took the six MINIs ALL4 Racing, the BMW X3 CC, the trucks and the service vehicles to the harbour of Valparaiso. There, they were loaded on board of a freighter and shipped to Le Havre, France.

Krzysztof Holowczyc fully recovered before long

It was a major shock when Krzysztof Holowczyc had to be taken to hospital following an accident during in the third stage of the 2013 Dakar Rally. The doctors found out that the pole had suffered several broken ribs and a fracture of a lumbar vertebra. Now, however, he nearly has completed his rehab programme and is determined to return behind the wheel of the MINI ALL4 Racing as fast as possible.
