Peter Jerie, da South Racing, vence Dakar Series 2015

· Peter Jerie confirms Dakar entry with Australian co-driver Dale Moscatt 

Czech-born Australian driver Peter Jerie has double reason to celebrate after a superb season of rallying with South Racing in South America. Jerie claimed victory in the prestigious Dakar Series and also topped the points’ standings in the South American CODESUR Championship.

 The Dakar Series success came as a result of his third place at Argentina’s Desafio Ruta 40 and a superb outright victory in Paraguay’s Desafio Guarani. Both results came at the wheel of a Toyota Hilux, run by the Germany-based car preparations company South Racing, with French navigator Laurent Lichtleuchter reading the notes alongside.

 Following the cancellation of Desafio Inca, September’s scheduled third round of the Dakar Series in Peru, Jerie had amassed enough points to have an unassailable lead in the series. Topping the points in the CODESUR Championship was icing on the cake for the Australia-based driver.

 Jerie is now making plans with South Racing to enter his fifth Dakar Rally. Last year, he finished 42nd overall after retiring in three former African Dakars and on the seventh stage of the 2014 event in South America.

  “It was great to race in South America this year and, together with Laurent and the team, we had some really good results in some very tough events,” reflected Jerie. “It was also great preparation for me for the Dakar. I would have loved to race in Peru, as the dunes and the country are fantastic. 

 “Laurent will be moving on to the official Toyota Autobody T2 team for Dakar and I would like to thank him for his great work in all the rallies that we have competed in. For Dakar, I will be racing with Dale Moscatt, who is a great co-driver and active in WRC and the Asia Pacific region.”

 Organised by Mas Eventos with the full support of the Amaury Sports Organisation (ASO) - that runs the Dakar Rally in January - Desafio Ruta 40 started in Catamarca and finished in Villa Unión and included terrain that will be included in three special stages of the 2016 Dakar Rally.

 Organised by the Touring Automovil Club, with the approval of the Confederación deportiva Automovilistica Sudamericana, Desafio Guarani took place over five demanding stages through some of the remotest terrain in Paraguay and Jerie notched up the most important victory of his career to seal a winning margin of a staggering 3hr 23min 33sec. The event started in the Paraguayan capital of Asunción and ran in extremely muddy conditions.

  “Peter joined South Racing at the start of the year and, together, we have made some great steps and had some very good races,” enthused South Racing’s team director Scott Abraham. “This, of course, would not have been possible without the support of all of the team who worked in some very trying conditions, especially in Paraguay with the torrential rain and wet conditions. It was really a pity that Peru was cancelled, as it is a great country and a wonderful place to race. Our focus is now on getting the cars ready for Dakar.”

 South Racing was founded in 2013. Based near Frankfurt in Germany, the young, customer-driven team also has workshops in Portugal and has extensive experience of the Dakar Rally and rallying in South America.

Maior "Line-Up" de MINI All4 Racing na história do Dakar

· 12 MINI ALL4 Racing vehicles involved 

· Mix of newcomers and Dakar old hands

 Less than two months to go to the most important race of the season: the Dakar Rally in South America. Last January, the MINI ALL4 Racing designed and built by X-raid crossed the Dakar’s finish podium as winner for the fourth consecutive time! And this streak of success is supposed to be continued in 2016. 12 MINI ALL4 Racing vehicles, more than ever in the history of the sport, will cross the start podium of the 2016 Dakar in Buenos Aires. The 24 drivers and co-drivers, among them five Dakar winners, represent 13 different nations, with the line-up featuring a mix of experienced drivers and Dakar rookies.

 The reigning champions, Nasser Al-Attiyah (QAT) and Mathieu Baumel (FRA), are going to once again contest the legendary event with a MINI ALL4 Racing. The pairing can look back on an extremely successful season: after having won the 2015 Dakar – the second Dakar win for Nasser Al-Attiyah who celebrated his first triumph in 2010 – the pairing also prevailed in the battle for the FIA Cross Country Rally World Cup title. “The MINI ALL4 Racing is a very competitive racing car, packed with all the experience of Team X-raid,” says the 44-year old. “And it goes without saying that I also want to win the 2016 Dakar.” 

In 2014, Spain’s Nani Roma won for X-raid the Dakar hat trick. For Roma himself it was the second Dakar title as he already won the event’s motorbike ranking back in 2004. In 2016, he will contest the Dakar with a new co-driver – his compatriot Alex Haro. In the run-up to the season highlight, the two Spaniards already won their home event, the Baja Aragon. “I practiced a lot to be as well prepared as possible for the Dakar,” reveals Roma. “Following all the bad luck we had to cope with last year I now want to again battle it out for the win.” 

For Orlando Terranova and Bernardo ‘Ronnie’ Graue, the 2016 Dakar will be nearly completely a home rally. The Dakar leaves Argentina for just three days and in these three days, the field will have to fight in the Bolivian heights. “With the MINI you can be very fast in many terrains,” underlines Terranova: dunes, open terrain or twisting tracks. In addition, the car’s stability is just incredible. The coming Dakar will be mainly contested in Argentina. This means a lot of pressure for me but I definitely want to be a factor in the battle for the win.”

 Mikko Hirvonen (FIN) does not yet think about fighting for the win, this year. After all, he is going to make his Dakar debut! With Michel Périn, the four-time World Rally Vive Champion was teamed up with an extremely experienced co-driver. In the Baja Aragon in Spain his first race at the wheel of the MINI ALL4 Racing, Hirvonen secured the very fine third place. And in his first desert rally, the Rally du Maroc in Morocco, he finished fifth. His goals for the 2016 Dakar aren’t quite as ambitious as the ones of his aforementioned team-mates: “For me, making it to the finish – if possible without getting stuck – is the top priority,” says the Finn. ”Other than many other drivers I just lack the necessary experience.”

 In addition, several other drivers also will make their MINI ALL4 Racing debut, in January: Adam Malysz, for instance, switched to the racer from Trebur in the early stages of the season. The former ski jumper will contest the event with co-driver Xavier Panseri who finished third with Krzysztof Holowczyc in the 2015 Dakar. Also new in the MINI ALL4 Racing camp are the Argentinean Nazareno Lopez and his co-driver Sergio Lafuente from Uruguay. Lopez made his Dakar debut in 2015 and finished 48th.

 Poland’s Jakub Przygonski was racing on a motorbike, to date, and is going to contest the Dakar for the first time on four wheels. His co-driver will be Belorussian Andrei Rudnitski. Meanwhile, Briton Harry Hunt will enter virgin soil: he is going to contest his first Dakar ever. But the 27-year old can rely on the support of a very experienced co-driver: two-time Dakar winner Andreas Schulz. While it will be the Dakar debut for both China’s Guo Meiling and her co-driver and compatriot Min Liao. 

Boris Garafulic (CHL) and Filipe Palmeiro (POR), however, already have got quite a lot of Dakar experience with the MINI ALL4 Racing under their belts. And the same applies to the German pairing Stephan Schott and Holm Schmidt. To date, the two Germans finished every Dakar in South America and are one of just two pairings who succeeded in doing so. For the Dutch pairing Erik van Loon / Wouter Rosegaar, the 2015 Dakar was extremely successful. By finishing fourth, they secured the best result ever a Dutchman could celebrate in the car category.

 Originally, the Dakar was supposed to be started in Peru’s capital Lima to then take the field across Peru and Bolivia to Argentina and the finish in Rosario. But due to the El Nino effect that is expected to be particularly strong, this year, Peru’s government opted against an involvement of the country. Therefore, the 2016 Dakar will be contested in Argentina and Bolivia only. The start podium in Buenos Aires will take place on 02nd January and on the following day the competitors will start into the first stage. On day five, the field will cross the Bolivian border to return to Argentina three days later. After a day of rest at Salta, the second week of the Dakar will take the competitors to the finish in Rosario.

 A special challenge will be the Bolivian heights. In the previous Dakar, several drivers struggled with problems such as headaches. In 2014 and 2015, only the racing vehicles entered Bolivia but in the 2016 Dakar, the entire Dakar baggage will cross Bolivia for the first time.

Scuderia Goldentrans/DURA ‘abriu’ Rali Casinos do Algarve

Alexandre Franco e Rui Franco cumpriram no Rali Casinos do Algarve a tarefa de carro “0”, com a dupla da Scuderia Goldentrans/DURA a viver de uma forma diferente uma prova do Campeonato Nacional de Ralis.

 A prova organizada pelo Clube Automóvel do Algarve contemplava oito provas especiais de classificação, com o último dia de competição a reservar algumas passagens por parte do percurso da Baja Cidade Europeia da Cultura, então pontuável para o Campeonato Nacional de Todo o Terreno e na qual a dupla alenquerense protagonizou então uma excelente recuperação.

 Numa prova onde a dupla do BMW Série 1 Proto não partia com qualquer objectivo competitivo, uma vez que o papel que lhe cabia de carro “0” a isso não permitia, Alexandre e Rui Franco acabaram por realizar o trabalho de colaboradores da segurança da prova, aproveitando ainda para treinar um novo esquema de notas, tendo em vista a preparação dos prólogos do Campeonato Nacional de Todo o Terreno da próxima temporada.

 No final da prova, Alexandre Franco contava que, “o objectivo era colaborar com a organização na qualidade de carro “0”, contudo, aproveitámos para por em prática um novo sistema de notas, que pensamos poderá ser bastante produtivo no futuro para os prólogos do Nacional de Todo o Terreno. Acabámos por disfrutar de uma realidade completamente diferente daquela a que estamos habituados e ficámos bem surpreendidos pela qualidade dos troços e pelo bom andamento do Nacional de Ralis. Estamos habituados a provas bastante mais longas, onde é necessário gerir a mecânica e dosear o andamento de forma diferente, ainda assim, o Nacional de TT em muitas situações o andamento equipara-se ao do Nacional de Ralis. Foi uma experiência bastante proveitosa e onde constatámos ainda a boa afluência de público, superior ao que encontramos habitualmente nas nossas provas. Em suma, foi mais um excelente fim-de-semana de competição, pelo que temos também que agradecer ao Clube Automóvel do Algarve por esta oportunidade” contou o piloto apoiado pela Goldentrans e DURA.

 A Scuderia Goldentrans/DURA completa assim a sua nona prova na presente temporada, mas promete mais novidades para breve em termos de projecto desportivo.

Ex estrela do WRC Xavier "Xevi" Pons de Ford Ranger no Dakar

∙ DMAS South Racing and Esponsorama to run Ford Ranger in joint project 

Spanish former FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) star Xavier ‘Xevi’ Pons is the latest driver to switch to cross-country rallying and will tackle the Dakar Rally for the first time in January 2016. 

The 35-year-old Spaniard will drive a Ford Ranger run through a joint project between DMAS South Racing and Esponsorama.

 Based in Germany, South Racing was founded in 2013, has workshops in Portugal and ran a Ford Ranger in the 2015 Dakar Rally for the Argentine rally driver Federico Villagra. South Racing and its strategic partner, Chilean-based DMAS Competicion, have already raced the Ford Ranger that Pons will use. It has benefited from ongoing development during the course of the year and features revised suspension, engine mapping and chassis improvements.

 Esponsorama is a company owned by Raúl Romero, who is well known in the MotoGP paddock for running teams like BQR or Avintia Racing in the last 20 years of the World Championship.

 Avintia Racing is competing this year with Héctor Barberá and Mike di Meglio in the MotoGP World Championship using Ducati Desmosedici GP14 motorcycles. This weekend the team will be fighting for the Open Class title in Valencia.

 Born in Vic, near Barcelona, Pons has been active at the top level of rallying since 2003 and has driven for the professional Citroën, Mitsubishi and Subaru teams in the past. He won seven WRC stages in his career and amassed 51 championship points.

 Pons began his career racing on two wheels and won the 1998 Spanish enduro championship, before being chosen to compete at the International Six Days Enduro with the Spanish junior team. He was part of a triumphant Spanish team in 2000 before making the switch to rallying.

 He claimed the 2002 Spanish Group N gravel title and finished second in the tarmac series the following year. In 2004, he competed in both the JWRC and PWRC, winning two rounds and finishing fourth in the latter series.

 After making the switch to a World Rally Car in 2005 and tackling a full WRC programme, the Catalan signed for the Kronos Total Citroën team in 2006 and partnered Sébastien Loeb. His best WRC results include five fourth-placed finishes in events as diverse as Spain, Turkey, Sardinia, Australia and New Zealand.

He returned to the series in 2010 in the SWRC category and won events in Mexico and Jordan on his way to the Super 2000 World Rally Championship title.

 Pons said: “The Dakar Rally is a great challenge. I began my career on two wheels competing in several enduro series, so I have a lot of good friends and former rivals, like Marc Coma, Nani Roma, Gerard Farres, Viladoms…competing in cross-country rallying. 

 “I heard many stories about the Dakar and, for me, is incredible to get this great opportunity with an experienced team as South Racing and driving the Ford Ranger. I head the challenge excited and with high motivation, but we have to keep calm. I have a lot of experience in rally, but this will be my first rally-raid race, so we’ll have to go step-by-step and then we’ll see what happens. 

 “I want to thank all the sponsors for their support, and particularly I want to say big thank you to Raúl Romero, because without him this dream would not come true. I hope to pay them back with a good result.” 

 Pons will be co-driven by the Argentinean Ricardo Torlashi, who raced with Adrian ‘Chino’ Yacopini and South Racing in the 2015 Dakar Rally.

 “For DMAS South Racing this is a great opportunity and I think to have a driver with the experience of Xevi, but also working with Raúl given his huge experience in MotoGP, is fantastic. This is a truly international partnership and something we have not seen in the Dakar before. I think we have good opportunities for the next Dakar and as well for the future,” said South Racing’s director Scott Abraham.

 Support for Pons’s Dakar challenge comes from Air Europa, Fundación Incorpora Deportistas Solidarios and Avintia Grupo. South Racing also has support from Rudy Project, OMP, TW Steel, Gold Nutrition, Michelin, MotoGP Argentina, Argentina Tourism and Ecomac.

 The revised Dakar Rally starts in Buenos Aires on January 2nd and features a demanding route through northern and central Argentina and Bolivia, before finishing in the Argentine city of Rosario on January 16th.

Joana vence em Portalegre e Ricardo é campeão

- Joana Lopes venceu Desafio Polaris na Baja Portalegre 500

 - Ricardo Megre sagrou-se o primeiro vencedor desta competição monomarca 

O Desafio Polaris, troféu destinado aos pequenos ACE 570 do construtor americano, coroou na Baja Portalegre 500 o seu primeiro campeão. Ricardo Megre fez a festa do título numa prova que teve Joana Lopes, a segunda classificada da competição, como grande vencedora da mítica jornada alentejana.

 Apesar de não ter terminado a prova, Ricardo Megre venceu o prólogo desta Baja Portalegre 500, no âmbito do Desafio Polaris, resultado que lhe era suficiente para se sagrar campeão. No final da corrida e apesar de lamentar não ter conseguido terminar a prova, o piloto não escondeu a sua satisfação e fez um balanço muito positivo desta competição: “a minha época de 2015 foi excelente. Podia ter sido melhor se tivesse ganho todas as provas, mas já não foi nada mau ter feito a passagem da velocidade para o todo-o-terreno, mesmo nestes carros que são os menos potentes dos UTV. Gostei muito deste Desafio Polaris Ace e penso que é a competição ideal para quem se quer estrear na modalidade a baixo custo e com uma igualdade de meios entre os concorrentes. Aliás, recomendo aos pilotos iniciantes e até aos mais veteranos, virem experimentar porque esta é uma opção viável para quem não tem orçamentos elevados. Na próxima época se não conseguir arranjar apoios para voos mais altos, vou novamente participar no Desafio Polaris Ace e espero ter muitos mais opositores a competir neste troféu, para aumentar o nível de competitividade” comentou o piloto.

 Para Joana Lopes a vitória nesta Baja Portalegre 500 foi muito gratificante: “é tudo novo para mim. Nunca tinha feito um Portalegre muito menos a vencer e a sensação é ótima. Apesar de não ter considerado o percurso demasiado duro, reconheço que a chuva complicou muito o nosso trabalho particularmente porque o terreno estava muito enlameado. Vi que podia ganhar ao perceber que o Alexandre ia mais devagar e então tentei andar o mais rápido possível para recuperar o tempo que perdi ontem. Felizmente, correu tudo bem e consegui alcançar a minha primeira vitória”, referiu Joana Lopes no final da Baja Portalegre 500.

 Alexandre Freitas, que liderou a corrida durante muitos quilómetros, teve um problema com a sua máquina e num esforço digno de registo conseguiu levá-la até à linha de chegada onde foi o segundo classificado a 30s do primeiro lugar. Filipe Ferreira, vencedor da prova inaugural, não conseguiu terminar a corrida.

Scuderia Goldentrans/DURA no Rali Casinos do Algarve

A dupla Alexandre Franco / Rui Franco fará no próximo fim-de-semana a sua estreia em provas do Campeonato Nacional de Ralis, desempenhando o papel de carro “0” no Rali Casinos do Algarve. 

Tendo começado nos ralis há cerca de duas décadas, Alexandre e Rui Franco tem agora a oportunidade de regressar á disciplina na qual se estrearam (os dois como pilotos), ainda que neste Rali Casinos do Algarve estejam como colaboradores directos da prova organizada pelo Clube Automóvel do Algarve.

  “O nosso próximo desafio será o de fazer de carro “0” no Rali Casinos do Algarve, última e decisiva prova do Campeonato Nacional de Ralis. Este ano ficámos extremamente agradados com o figurino da Baja Cidade Europeia do Desporto e a possibilidade de ‘abrirmos’ a prova do Clube Automóvel do Algarve é um privilégio”, começou por dizer Alexandre Franco.

 O piloto de Alenquer comentou que a dupla vai “regressar ao ambiente dos ralis vinte e três anos depois. Estamos muito felizes por esta possibilidade e com certeza será um experiência muito boa, pois aqui não há qualquer pressão, pelo que vamos com o intuito de dar a máxima colaboração ao clube organizador e ao mesmo tempo disfrutar de troços que já fizeram parte do Rally de Portugal. A nossa equipa técnica já se encontra a preparar o BMW Série 1 Proto de forma a que este esteja nas melhores condições para a prova”.

 O Rali Casinos do Algarve terá lugar nos dias 7 e 8 de Novembro, com Loulé a ser o centro nevrálgico de uma prova que contará com oito provas especiais de classificação, algumas do antigo Rally de Portugal.

MRacing Team - Um fecho de época com chave de ouro

A Baja Portalegre 500 de 2015 fecha um ano difícil mas extremamente positivo para toda a equipa da MRacing com as suas três equipas MRacing no TOP 10. De salientar e congratular a vitória perfeita de Ricardo Porém e Jorge Monteiro que acabaram a prova com mais de 10 minutos de avanço sobre o segundo classificado, não deixando de frisar a qualidade e perseverança de Hélder Oliveira e Nuno Rodrigues que fecham a época num 4º lugar muito positivo dadas as dificuldades da prova e que lhes garante assim o honroso 3º lugar do Campeonato Nacional, Alejandro Martins e José Marques acabam a época no TOP 10 da segunda prova do campeonato Mundial que lhes permite cimentar o seu crescimento.

 Hélder Oliveira acaba o ano satisfeito com uma “época que dificilmente poderia ter corrido melhor” 

“Depois de um primeiro dia caracterizado por percursos muito rápidos, o dia de sábado foi bastante mais duro e a chuva que apareceu da parte de tarde tornou a prova muito difícil. Felizmente conseguimos ir subindo posições e penso que, face às equipas presentes, o 4º lugar final foi um óptimo resultado! Em jeito de balanço anual, penso que seria difícil a época ter corrido melhor. No início da temporada traçamos o objectivo de ficar entre os três primeiros, o que conseguimos cumprir. Além do mais fizemos cinco pódios em seis jornadas o que, sem dúvida, é muito positivo. Foi um bom campeonato, muito bem disputado e estamos bastante satisfeitos com todo o trabalho desenvolvido por toda a equipa e com os resultados alcançados.”

Visivelmente satisfeito com o este triunfo, Ricardo Porém esclarecia no final da prova que “acima de tudo voltamos a dar uma mostra do nosso valor. Diverti-me muito ao longo de toda a corrida, consegui impor o meu ritmo desde o início e isso permitiu-me não apenas rolar sem percalços, como gerir o esforço numa corrida muito dura e altamente exigente para a mecânica dos carros. Estou muito contente por este triunfo, ainda mais em Portalegre, prova que é, claramente, uma das minhas preferidas. Depois de aqui ter assegurado o primeiro título de TT aqui no ano passado, voltar a vencer tem um sabor muito especial.”

 Alejandro Martins analisa uma corrida difícil mas com um resultado muito positivo, “Foi uma corrida difícil mas o resultado final foi positivo. Com um início difícil para nós onde o resultado do prologo foi abaixo do esperado e um furo no primeiro km do troço da tarde fez com que a classificação no final de sexta-feira não fosse a melhor, mas com um grande sentido de missão, no sábado imprimimos um ritmo bom que nos permitiu subir cerca de 10 lugares, no último troço apesar das difíceis condições climatéricas conseguimos impor o nosso andamento para chegar a um lugar no top 10.” 

"Com isto fazemos um balanço muito positivo da época onde conseguimos 2 vezes lugares nos 10 primeiros em duas corridas do campeonato do mundo continuando desta maneira o nosso crescimento."

Manuel Russo Jr. fecha a época com chave de ouro “Terminamos esta corrida muito contentes com os resultados, faltando apenas o campeonato para o Hélder e o Nuno para ser perfeito, 3 carros à partida e 3 carros à chegada com uma vitória imaculada da equipa Ricardo Porem/ Jorge Monteiro, com uma prova muito forte por parte do Hélder Oliveira / Nuno Rodrigues da Silva e um top 10 muito saboroso para Alejandro Martins/ José Marques. 

 Foi uma época longa e exigente para todos na equipa mas é muito bom terminar da melhor maneira. Queria deixar um agradecimento a todos os nossos pilotos e a todos os nossos parceiros bem como a todos os elementos da equipa que tornaram tudo possível com a promessa que para o ano voltaremos em grande força.”

António Maio é o novo Campeão Nacional de Todo-o-Terreno nas duas rodas

Piloto da Equipa Yamaha Pinhelworks alcançou título na Baja Portalegre 500 

António Maio conquistou na Baja Portalegre 500, a derradeira prova do Campeonato Nacional de Todo-o-Terreno, o título de campeão nacional da categoria moto. No terceiro ano em que o piloto discutiu o campeonato em Portalegre, António Maio conseguiu alcançar o ambicionado título.

 Apesar de ter terminado a prova alentejana em quarto lugar este resultado foi suficiente para se sagrar campeão: “ é um título que sabe por três. Já corríamos atrás dele há muito tempo e quando é assim ainda sabe melhor. Penso que é um título merecido, tanto para mim como para a esta equipa onde se vive um espirito de união e de entreajuda muito forte. Fico feliz por uma equipa amadora chegar ao lugar mais alto do pódio num campeonato tão disputado como é este”, contou o piloto da Yamaha Pinhelworks que tem no seu currículo cinco triunfos nesta prova alentejana.

 António Maio apresentou-se nesta corrida após um mês de convalescença fruto de uma queda ocorrida antes da penúltima prova do campeonato, a Baja TT Idanha-a-Nova. De notar que António Maio venceu todas as provas em que participou ao longo da temporada 2015, a saber: Raid TT a Góis, Raid da Ferraria, Baja TT Cidade Europeia do Desporto Loulé 2015 e Baja TT Proença-a-Nova/Oleiros/Mação.

 Sebastien Buhler, o jovem piloto da Yamaha Pinhelworks, também teve motivos para sorrir nesta Baja Portalegre 500 uma vez que venceu a classe TT1 e alcançou um brilhante terceiro lugar da classificação geral: “foi um dia de festa para a nossa equipa. Foi um dia bom para o António Maio porque correu tudo bem, felizmente. Esta temporada para mim não foi das melhores porque sofri algumas quedas, mas nas provas em que participei correu bem e consegui vencer. O objetivo é manter-me mais um ano na classe TT1 ”, referiu o piloto na chegada a Portalegre. 

Menos sorte teve Luís Teixeira campeão TT3 em 2014 e que se apresentou em Portalegre com hipóteses de discutir o título nacional na Classe. O piloto algarvio tinha de vencer para poder aspirar a ser campeão e esteve boa parte da segunda etapa nessa situação até sofrer uma queda que danificou a sua moto e que o impossibilitou de prosseguir em corrida. Conquistou todavia o título de vice campeão da sua categoria.

 Para Frederico Fino, o gestor da equipa: “o balanço que faço desta época é obviamente muito positivo. O nosso principal objetivo era ganhar o título absoluto que conseguimos alcançar em Portalegre e sem dúvida que tem um sabor muito especial uma vez que andávamos atrás dele há já cinco anos. O António Maio dominou toda esta temporada e se não fosse o percalço que teve antes de Idanha-a-Nova tenho a certeza que poderia ter vencido todas as provas do campeonato. A prestação do Sebastien Buhler foi também impecável. Ganhou a classe TT1 e teve uma excelente performance ao terminar em terceiro da geral. Em relação ao Luís Teixeira também fez uma ótima corrida e acabou por se sagrar vice-campeão da sua categoria que é bastante positivo”.
